Junior IT talent promotion in the Aachen region: DSA supports IT4Kids

Becoming a successful programmer is a matter of early practice. In accordance with this principle, DSA now supports the Aachen-based initiative IT4Kids as part of a sponsorship partnership.

IT4Kids was started eight years ago by students from Aachen to introduce primary school children to the subject of computer science by learning through playing while providing early access to digital education.

Among other things, the initiative trains students from RWTH Aachen University and Aachen University of Applied Sciences as course instructors. The instructors then conduct the courses which are based on a proven learning concept in the school classes. In addition, the schools get access to the Cubi learning software for a playful approach to programming and the logic behind it.

With the partnership, DSA supports the initiative in realizing the IT4Kids vision and thus invests in a fundamental understanding of IT among young people and in the future digital competence.
