DSA again presenting at important ELIV industry congress

From October 18th to 19th, 2023, DSA again participated in the ELIV (Electronics in Vehicles) congress in Bonn. During the two-day international congress, representatives of vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and academic institutions presented and discussed possible solutions for current challenges in automotive electronics and software.

The focus of this year's presentation by Dr. Oliver Meyer from DSA was on a new perspective on the increasingly complex software in vehicles, in particular on the interface between development and customer service. The current practice of engineering producing complete software releases will no longer be sufficient in the future: The frequency of necessary updates is constantly increasing, software variations are becoming more numerous and cybersecurity requirements demand continuous software updates. To meet the increasing requirements, regulations and complexity, the need for a new approach to vehicle software management and customisation is growing. In response to these challenges, a modular solution for software update management is outlined. With PRODIS.LCM, DSA offers a solution to implement the modular approach in a fully auditable and traceable way to address the identified issues.
