ASAM SOVD: DSA is driving innovation in vehicle production

The complexity of software-defined vehicles is changing traditional diagnostic methods. An increasing number of OEMs are evaluating the use of SOVD (Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics, ISO 17978) in future vehicle platforms - some are already using the standard productively. SOVD is therefore becoming a key technology for diagnostics.

With the ASAM SOVD standard, a future-orientated solution has been developed that supports both existing and software-defined vehicle architectures. As the initiator of the SOVD standard, DSA has created the basis for standardised, service-oriented vehicle diagnostics. All DSA products support the standard - including a dedicated, standard-compliant SOVD server. In this way, DSA not only demonstrates how modern diagnostic technology can be efficiently integrated into existing systems. With the help of DSA, the first customers are preparing their vehicle production for the integration of SOVD-based vehicles.
