In cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Jülich, we offer apprenticeships for mathematical-technical software developers (MATSE) on 1st of August each year. As a future specialist in mathematics and computer science you will be working where complex software is developed and programmed. In our development departments, you will work together with dedicated colleagues on future-oriented system solutions for the international automotive industry, on intelligent scheduling solutions for the ready-mixed concrete industry and on efficient controls for aircraft refuelling.

Your Tasks

  • During the in-house part of your training, you will become familiar with our different work areas and acquire comprehensive programming skills in ­various programming languages and systems.
  • You will work alongside experienced software developers on interesting projects for customers all over the world.
  • You will gain insights into the diversity of automotive electronics and software, into the logistical challenges of the building materials industry and into the operational processes of a modern major airport.
  • The practical in-house training is supplemented by the Bachelor‘s degree course in „Scientific Programming“ at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Jülich site. The courses take place at the RWTH‘s computer centre.

Your Profile

  • You have a high-school qualification (Abitur).
  • You have a very good knowledge of mathematics.
  • You are fascinated by everything to do with technology.
  • You have a strong ability to think and work systematically.
  • You have a very good command of written and spoken German.
  • Your written and spoken English skills are good.
