First Lego League: DSA-sponsored team Inda Bots wins 2nd place at the world final

DSA congratulates the Inda Bots team on their outstanding success at this year's Western Edge Open World Final of the FIRST LEGO League (FLL). Back in April, the Inda Bots from the Inda-Gymnasium in Aachen became champions, being the best team for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and qualified for the world final in Long Beach, California. There they achieved second place overall out of 90 competing teams!

The Inda Bots have been taking part in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge for years with different team members. Last year, the team from Aachen achieved the fifth place out of around 50 teams at the world final in Sydney. This year, they climbed up to the second place on their way to the best in the world.

Among other things, the Aachen team impressed the judges with their augmented reality solution for band and orchestra rehearsals. In addition to the technical tasks, the FIRST LEGO League is also about the fundamental values of discovery, innovation and impact - and, beyond the spirit of the competition, also about inclusion, teamwork and fun. The evaluation of these criteria was also included in the excellent overall ranking.

This year's success is all the more remarkable, as all four team members were preparing for the competition at the same time as preparing for their final exams at school. We are proud to support the young inventors at Inda-Gymnasium. With its tasks and competitions, the FIRST LEGO League is committed to promoting STEM fields and social engagement. This fits in perfectly with DSA's commitment to promoting young talent in the STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
