SP-Adapter Gen II
The SP-Adapter Gen II is the new generation of professional diagnostic adapters for safety testing (SP) of commercial vehicles.
The SP-Adapter Gen II is ideally suited for use in technical inspection centres to carry out safety tests on commercial vehicles, such as trucks and trailers. It supports the testing of safety-critical and wear-prone components, such as brakes, and verifies the control unit software.
The second generation of the SP-Adapter combines a powerful 64-bit architecture, modern vehicle interfaces and a particularly robust design. As a result, the SPA-II enables vehicle diagnostics to be carried out efficiently. The internal sensors measure, for example, deceleration and other driving dynamics parameters.
OBD interfaces and vehicle protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP ensure reliable connectivity with modern communication buses and guarantee long-term compatibility with future generations of vehicles. The diagnostic adapter is designed with a replaceable battery, an intuitive user interface and a high-contrast ePaper display to provide flexible and safe operation in demanding test centre conditions.

The SP-Adapter Gen II is intended for accredited SP-workshops and authorised SP-training centres.
SP stands for “Sicherheitsprüfung” (“Safety Inspection”) which is mandatory for trucks and trailers in Germany.
The diagnostic adapter HUA-II is used to test motor vehicles as part of the periodic technical inspection (PTI).
